Over at Arstechnica, they have a great article on the AT&T/T-Mobile merger and it’s relationship to anti-trust laws. I understand that the FCC has to go through the process of reviewing the bid and it’s repercussions regarding a competetive market. What I don’t understand is anyone thinking this is seriously a good idea!
With Ma Bell and the Big V doing away with their unlimited data plans, that leaves only Sprint left having both a decent network, decent phones, and unlimited data. T-mobile has the cheaper plans and is widely accept as the most customer service oriented company, but have a business hurting lack of LTE or WiMax (which I think they are supposed to throw the switch some time this year). The graph shows the current market share of all wireless carriers. I think it pretty much says it all…
